Publication on Trajectories of Self-, Other-, and Dual-harm by Dr. Annekatrin Steinhoff

In a new paper, Dr. Annekatrin Steinhoff, Prof. Lilly Shanahan, and the z-proso team show that early adolescents who engage in both self- and other-harm (i.e., dual-harm) have a high risk of continuing to engage in such harm over the following years.
Self- and other-harm are relatively common behaviors among adolescents. In a new paper, Dr. Annekatrin Steinhoff, Prof. Lilly Shanahan, and the z-proso team show that early adolescents who engage in both self- and other-harm (i.e., dual-harm) have a high risk of continuing to engage in such harm over the following years. The study also indicates that creating opportunities for positive social experiences, including those with teachers, may help prevent and even interrupt individual trajectories of harm.
