The Risk and Resilience group of the Jacobs Center enjoyed their visit with Prof. Dr. Paul Plener who is Head of Department and full professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical University of Vienna. Prof. Plener is an expert in non-suicidal self-injury, suicidality in youth, trauma, and also mental health of refugee minors. As part of his visit, he gave a talk entitled “Non-suicidal self-injury during adolescence: Understanding functions to enhance therapy” in the UZH Department of Psychology.
