Do young adults comply with COVID-19-related public health measures? Jacobs Center researchers from the z-proso study & the Risk and Resilience research area recently published a paper in Social Science & Medicine that addressed this question. Findings show, for example, that young adults in Switzerland who had more trust in the government’s COVID-19 responses were more likely to comply with the COVID-19 related public health measures. Furthermore, young adults with a history of “antisocial potential” (e.g., low self-control, delinquent behaviors, delinquent peers, low acceptance of moral rules, legal cynicism, and low shame/guilt) were less likely to comply with these measures.
